I was trying to download the latest FileZILLA upgrade, but there was an error and it said to abort the download, so I did and lost FileZilla itself. All the files were in trash, but not FileZilla.

Sometimes errors appear without notification and their behavior is weird, but worry not because the FileZilla is always available for downloading from different sources. You can use the websites listed below to obtain another copy of the installation package.

This is just a media placer with built-in codecs. It does not have anything to do with FTP servers. FileZilla is just a FTP client used to connect to FTP servers. However, the application is trustwhorthy and you should use something else instead of this. For example, VLC is a media player application that is safe to use/

FileZilla wasn't designed to support scheduling or automating tasks. You can post this request on the Forum available for users. You might need to create a username in order to post.

Hi,
The file's physical location is your Hard Dive, whereas filezilla is having only the referral link to that downloaded file. So go with some undelete software like getdataback etc., to recover if it deleted really from your hard drive.

Thanks & Regards,
Sundaram

You can't disable or enable items on this application. To modify the actual menu, you'll need to rebuild the application from source-code using FileZilla_3.7.3_src.tar.bz2. It's an open source and can be customized to look and act the way you want it (if you have the knowledge).

I installed FileZilla Client about a month ago and I'm not yet able to make it connect. I get an error message saying that the command is tainted by router or firewall so I bypassed them and went directly to the modem and I received the same error. I also turned the Firewall off. Is there any other thing that needs to be done that I am not aware of? I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

Check with your DNS provider or Web Hosting provider the proper settings. Otherwise just access the ftp through IE or Mozilla.
