FileZilla Client is a very popular and widely-used FTP client. It is well-known for the great number of features that it provides and for the fact that it’s open source. FileZilla Client can be used to create FTP connections, as well as SSL/TLS or SSH ones to various web servers. It is available in many languages and supported by various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, etc.).
I always enjoyed working with FileZilla, whether I needed to transfer some random files over the Internet, or to upload an entire website on a hosting server. It provides a lot of settings and customization options and it is suitable even for less experienced users. FileZilla Client comes with an intuitive interface. The most important tools are efficiently organized in the main window. For additional accessibility, FileZilla offers various visual themes for the graphical interface.
Version 3.6.0-beta1 focuses mainly on the graphical interface, in addition to different bugfixes and minor changes. In order to ease access when working with large lists of files and folders, the auto-scroll option has been implemented. An additional visual theme has been added and also the context menu now enables users to create empty files on the server.
I strongly recommend FileZilla Client to anyone who needs to perform file transfers over a LAN or the Internet.
